Volunteer Opportunities
There are several options for you to volunteer at the mansion. Choose as many options as you’d like!
Please be sure to check the shift status which will be updated regularly.
Mansion/Room Docent
Guide visitors through the design space and point out the most interesting items (from provided information). Answer visitor questions and provide directions to assist with tour flow.
Garden Docent
Guide visitors through an outdoor garden design space. Dress for the weather, rain or shine. Point out highlights in the garden and answer visitor questions with provided guide sheets. Give directions to assist with tour flow.
Café
Sell prepared and packaged food and beverages in the Castle Café. Freshen tables and seating areas for incoming patrons.
Parking
Assist with parking direction at the off-site lot and at the restricted on-site lot. This is an outdoor position, so dress for the weather, rain or shine. Assist with boarding and disembarking shuttles.
Private Parties
Guide visitors through an interior design space and point out highlights in the room (guide sheets will be provided) during a private party when the mansion is closed to the public. Answer visitor questions and provide directions to assist with tour flow.
May involve evening hours.
Shifts
Mansion in May needs volunteers every day from May 1st - May 31st. Each day has a morning and afternoon shift. We require each volunteer to be present at a minimum of two shifts, but we prefer a minimum of four.
Most Positions
AM: Monday – Saturday: 9:30AM – 1:00PM; Sunday: 10:30AM – 2:00PM
PM: Monday – Saturday: 12:30PM – 4:00PM; Sunday: 1:30PM – 5:00PM
Café
AM: Sunday – Saturday: 10:45AM – 1:45PM
PM: Sunday – Saturday: 1:30 PM – 4:30PM
